Introduction

Mr. Waheed Ahmad completed his MS from the institute of Astrophysics, University of Göttingen (Germany) in 2018, where he studied as an ERASMUS MUNDUS scholar from Pakistan. During his MS, under the Fully funded ERASMUS scholarship from European Union, he spent first semester in University of Innsbruck (Austria). Then did second semester in University of Rome Tor Vergata (Italy) and final year in University of Göttingen (Germany).  His Dissertation revolved around anisotropies in the microwave background and was completed under the supervision of Dr. David J.E Marsh and Prof. Dr. Jens Niemeyer.

Prior to his MS studies, Mr. Waheed received his BS degree in Physics from COMSATS University with distinction (Campus Medalist). He was awarded HEC fully funded scholarship to study Physics at COMSATS and he completed his thesis in Particle Physics under the supervision of Dr. Shabana Nisar.

Research Interests: His current research Interests include Numerical approaches to study the dynamics of dark matter from subatomic to cosmological scales, to interpret strong and weak gravitational lensing data in terms of galaxy and dark matter structure and to investigate how star and black hole formation influences the structure of individual galaxies.

Mr. Waheed has also attended various conferences and talks at Paris Observatory, Italian Space Agency, Max Planck Institutes and European Space Agency. Besides the usual academic interests, he is also interested in reading on economics, history, current affairs and learning about different languages and cultures.
