Currently serving as a Lecturer at FAST – National University of Computer & Emerging Sciences, he brings valuable corporate expertise into the classroom, ensuring students receive theoretical and practical knowledge.
With proficiency in accounting, financial management, investment strategies, and risk management — along with tools such as QuickBooks, MS Office, and R Studio — Ahmad effectively bridges the gap between academia and industry needs.
He is passionate about mentoring future entrepreneurs and job seekers, particularly startups, by leveraging his skills in accounting, financial consulting, business planning, and accounting software to help them build financially sound and sustainable ventures. A user of QuickBooks, and currently pursuing the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program, Ahmad holds an M.Sc. in Accounting and Financial Management and a B.Sc. in Accounting and Finance from the University of Hertfordshire and the University of London, respectively.

Objectives

Detailed Course Content

Day 1: Accounting Basics & QuickBooks Setup
• Introduction to accounting concepts (users, GAAP, accrual vs. cash basis)
• Understanding the accounting equation and financial statements
• Installing and setting up QuickBooks
• Creating a company file and customizing preferences
• Navigating the dashboard and understanding key features

Day 2: Managing Transactions & Financial Activities
• Recording income and expenses in QuickBooks
• Working with customers, vendors, and employees
• Bank and credit card reconciliation
• Invoicing, customer payments, and managing accounts receivable/payable
• Customizing invoice templates
• Tracking inventory and basic expenses

Day 3: Payroll, Reporting & Hands-on Practice
• Setting up and processing payroll in QuickBooks
• Generating key reports: Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow
• Interpreting reports for business decisions
• Mock setup of a sample business
• End-to-end transaction entry and report generation
• Distribution of certificates
