Dr. Adnan Qayyum is currently working as a Research Associate at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), Doha, Qatar. He received Ph.D. in Computer Science at the Information Technology University (ITU), Lahore, Pakistan in 2024. During his PhD, he was awarded prestigious Commonwealth Split-Site Scholarship for one-year study at the University of Glasgow, United Kingdom. He received master’s in Computer Engineering with specialization in Signal and Image Processing from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Taxila, Pakistan, in 2016 and bachelor’s in Electrical (Computer) Engineering from COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Wah, Pakistan, in 2014. His primary research interests include medical image analysis, healthcare, and trustworthy ML. He has published more than 40 peer-reviewed research articles at various high-quality venues including publication in top journals such as IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence (PAMI), IEEE Transactions on Artificial Intelligence, IEEE Communication Surveys and Tutorials (COMST), IEEE Reviews in Biomedical Engineering (RBME), ACM Computing Surveys, and Elsevier Computers and Security, as well as top medical conferences that include International Conference on Medical Image Computing and Computer-Assisted Intervention (MICCAI) and IEEE Symposium on Biomedical Imaging (ISBI). He has been awarded best paper award from IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society. He currently holds an h-index of 27 and his publications have received more than 6000 citations.
