Introduction

Muhammad Laraib has recently joined FAST National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences as Lecturer of Pakistan Study. His BA Hons. in History and Political Science from Government College University, Lahore provided him with an opportunity to study a wide range of courses from International Relations of Pakistan to Mughal India to Cultural History and Political Culture of Pakistan. He, then seized an opportunity to write a research thesis titled “Cultural Colonialism in Post-Colonial Pakistan (A case Study of Pashtun Domination in Pre-dominantly Saraiki D I Khan) in M Phil at Center of Excellence for Pakistan Studies: National Institute of Pakistan Studies (NIPS), Quaid I Azam University, Islamabad under the supervision of an eminent Pakistani Scholar and Public Intellectual. He acheived Departmental Merit Scholarship for standing 1st in his batch in M Phil and HEC Indigenous Scholarship for MS leading to Ph.D. He has also been awarded Rector’s Merit Certificate on securing Top Position in English Language Diploma at National University of Modern Languages. Moreover, he was invited by Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD: German Academic Exchange Service; German Foreign Office) as a Young Researcher to share his research on Afghan Refugees in various Universities at Marburg and Berlin, Germany.

Along with teaching at a public sector university before joining FAST, he has an immense experience of working in Development Sector at various positions from Lead Researcher to Project Coordinator, conducting research and advocacy projects all over the Pakistan.
