Introduction

Dr. Muhammad Rafiq is an Associate Professor at the FAST School of Management, National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, CFD campus. He previously served as the Program Manager at the Business Incubation Centre, Lahore, Pakistan, and as the Head of the Case Centre, where he supervised the publication of over 100 case studies focusing on local contexts. Additionally, he organized one of Pakistan’s largest entrepreneurship expos (SEE-Pakistan), traveling across the country to collaborate with various incubation centres and universities.

Dr. Rafiq holds a PhD in Business Management from North China Electric Power University (NCEPU), Beijing, China, and a master’s degree from the University of Cumbria, England. With 18 years of professional experience in both the United Kingdom and Pakistan, his expertise spans Sustainable Development, Human Resource Management, Strategic Management, and Entrepreneurship.

He has published over 35 research papers in high-impact journals, indexed in Web of Science (SCI, SSCI, ESCI) and Scopus, including those ranked in ABDC and ABS. In 2024, he was recognized among the top ten researchers in the MENA region according to the Emerald list. Furthermore, he has contributed several case studies to the Case Centre, England, and other renowned case study journals.

Achievements

  • 1st Position in the Business Plan Competition held in September 2012, presided over by the President of the Chamber of Commerce.
  • Best Faculty Member Awarded Twice by the university in recognition of academic excellence and student engagement.
  • Curriculum Innovator: Successfully initiated and led the revision of course content to align with contemporary academic and industry trends, benchmarked against Newcastle University, Australia.
