Introduction

Muhammad Umer Zahoor is working as a Lecturer in the Department of Software Engineering at the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (FAST-NUCES).

Prior to his appointment at FAST-NUCES, he served as a visiting lecturer at Government College University Faisalabad. He gained industry experience as a Database Engineer Intern, developing and optimizing T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and ETL workflows using SSIS. He worked with CTEs, MERGE logic, indexing strategies, SQL Server Agent, and collaborated using Visual Studio, Python, and C#.

Among his notable academic achievements is securing 3rd Place at the Black Sea Science International Competition of Student Scientific Works, organized by the Odesa National Academy of Food Technologies. His team presented “Hiring Assistant for Recruiter (HAFR),” a web-based system designed to automate candidate screening and interview processes for HR departments. The competition featured 239 submissions from 40 universities worldwide.

He is also a certified IBM Data Analyst Professional through Coursera, strengthening his expertise in data analytics and analytical decision-making. Additionally, he has contributed as a member of the FAST Salient Step Society, reflecting his commitment to leadership and student engagement.
