Introduction
Usman Ahmad completed his Postdoctoral Research at Jiangsu University, China (April 2023 – April 2025), where he focused on leveraging Machine Learning, and Artificial Neural Networks to address security challenges in Autonomous Vehicles and the Internet of Things (IoT). He holds a Ph.D. in Software Engineering from the Beijing Institute of Technology, China, where his doctoral research centered on securing IoT devices using machine learning. He has served as an Assistant Professor and Lecturer, supervising Master’s and Bachelor’s students across various computing disciplines. His professional background also includes roles in the software industry as a Senior Software Engineer and Assistant Manager in IT, where he contributed to major software development projects. Dr. Ahmad has received several honors, including the Jiangsu Province Excellent Postdoctoral Program Grant (2023), the Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC), and a University Scholarship during his Bachelor’s studies. An HEC-approved supervisor, he has guided multiple student projects. His research interests include AI-driven cybersecurity, IoT security, intelligent transportation systems, and smart mobility solutions.
