The Government of the Punjab, through the Higher Education Department and the Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC), has announced the Chief Minister’s Honhaar Undergraduate Scholarship Program 2026. The program offers 50,000 new merit-based scholarships to outstanding students with limited financial resources who are pursuing undergraduate degrees at leading universities and colleges.

Eligibility Criteria

• No age limit.
• The applicant must have a Punjab domicile.
• Monthly family income must be less than Rs. 350,000 for Public Sector HEIs and less than Rs. 500,000 for Federal / Private Sector HEIs.
• The scheme is not gender specific. Scholarships are awarded on merit.
• The applicant must be enrolled in selected disciplines in the selected universities / colleges.

Scholarship Details

• Number of scholarships: 50,000
• Duration: as per the undergraduate degree program (4 to 5 years)
• Coverage: the applicant’s tuition fee
